Job summary

Amazon Foundational Security Services (AFSS) is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design and build a large-scale Authentication Management System within AWS security. You will collaborate with leadership to influence engineering decisions and contribute across the full software lifecycle for multiple products.

Successful candidates will show strong fundamentals, hands-on design and coding skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience for large-scale systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design and build a large-scale Authentication Management System.
• Collaborate with leadership to drive key engineering decisions across products.
• Contribute to design, implementation, deployment, and operations across multiple products.
• Handle on-call responsibilities, rotating roughly every two months.
