Harbor Health in Austin, TX is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our multi-specialty clinic at North University. The clinician will lead primary care, manage chronic conditions, and work with a collaborative care team.

The ideal candidate holds Texas NP/PA licensure, NCCPA/ANCC/ANA certification, DEA and CPR, and a commitment to high-quality patient care. Competitive compensation, generous PTO and holidays, CME allowance, and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program and certified by NCCPA, or Nurse Practitioner Program and certifed by ANCC/ANA.
• Current licensure to practice in Texas as NP or PA.
• Licensed and certified to practice Family Medicine.
• Current DEA and CPR certification.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.
• Credentialing and privileging requirements must be met.

Responsibilities

• Interview members to obtain medical history, perform exams, order tests, prescribe medications, and recommend treatments.
• Provide continuity in managed care for members with long-term conditions.
• Make referrals for secondary/tertiary care in collaboration with the care team.
• Perform medical procedures according to issued privileges.
• Provide health maintenance visits, immunization need evaluation, and referrals.
• Conduct contract and special physical examinations for employment and other purposes.
• Document and code all member contacts in the EMR.
• Active member of the medical team and participate in care team meetings.
• Contribute to clinical committees, education, quality review, and mission activities.
