Veriipro is looking for a skilled database manager in San Antonio, Texas, to oversee Aurora PostgreSQL clusters, manage user permissions, and ensure high availability of operations. The ideal candidate will implement backup strategies and utilize AWS monitoring tools effectively.

This role requires a strong understanding of AWS RDS, Python, CI/CD pipelines, and performance resolution in a dynamic dev/test/prod environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage Aurora PostgreSQL clusters (creation, scaling, upgrades, patching).
• Create/manage users, permissions, and IAM roles.
• Monitor DB performance (CPU, memory, I/O) and resolve bottlenecks.
• Implement backup, recovery, and S3-based data strategies.
• Perform DR exercises and ensure high availability.
• Set up monitoring and alerting using AWS tools.
• Maintain DB operations across dev, test, and prod environments.
