Job summary

Cherry Bekaert is seeking a Tax Staff in Denver to work on a wide variety of tax engagements under the supervision of accounting professionals.

You will engage and serve clients from various industries and prepare federal and state tax returns, including basic individual, corporate, and partnership returns. Travel to client sites is required as needed, with potential overtime during busy cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; Masters preferred.
• CPA certification or eligibility to pursue CPA license.
• GPA not required but 3.0/4.0 or above preferred.

• Communicate with project in-charges and clients.
• Develop tax knowledge while preparing basic and intermediate individual tax returns.
• Prepare federal and multi-state corporate tax returns and basic partnership returns.
• Research fundamental tax issues using online tools.
• Prepare and organize workpapers for client files.
• Perform other essential duties as needed.

Education

As a Tax Staff, you will:

What you bring to the role

• Bachelor’s degree in accountingor related field. Masters preferred

• CPA certified or the eligibility to work toward obtaining a CPA license

• Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above preferred, but notrequired

• Proficiencywith computers and spreadsheet software programs

• Ability to travel to client sites as needed, including frequent same-day travel and occasional out-of-town travel

• Ability to work moderate overtime throughout the year with heavier overtimerequiredduring certain business cycles

The salary range for this position is included below. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
