Job summary

The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) seeks an Auditor to extract and analyze large datasets from licensees’ regulatory reporting systems to assess compliance with state gaming laws and related rules. The role includes auditing datasets for reliability, developing audit programs, and identifying regulatory risks.

Qualified candidates have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and relevant auditing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least 24 semester credits in accounting.
• One year of professional experience auditing accounting, financial, and operations records (Auditor 9).
• Two years of professional experience auditing accounting, financial, and operations records (Auditor P11) with one year at Auditor 10 equivalence.

Responsibilities

• Extract large datasets from licensees’ regulatory reporting systems and analyze for compliance with Acts and rules.
• Conduct audits on datasets to assess reliability and integrity of information.
• Assist in development of audit programs and procedures for IT audits and reviews of licensees’ systems.
• Analyze datasets to detect patterns and identify anomalies or regulatory risk areas.
• Identify, compile, and analyze data that support agency-wide risk assessments and audit planning.

Bachelor's degree with at least 24 semester (36 term) credits in accounting
