BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is seeking two Auditors, Membership I, for a fully onsite role in Columbia. Start date: 11/30/2026; schedule 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday–Friday; contract only. Two positions available.

Responsibilities include auditing group accounts, ensuring timely premium payments and accurate reporting, and serving as primary contact for monthly reporting. Requires an Associate Degree or 2 years related experience with basic Excel skills. Competitive benefits apply.

Position Details

• Contract Only
• Start Date: 11/30/2026
• Positions: 2
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Work Location: Fully onsite; local candidates only
• Interviews: In person, approximately 15–30 minutes with two interviewers

Preferences

• Due to peak-season coverage needs, candidates with NO PLANNED PTO during the contract are preferred.
• Experience: Billing and auditing experience translate well to this role.
• Microsoft skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft products, including basic Excel tasks such as open/export, highlighting, and inputting data. (Advanced Excel features or reporting skills are not needed).

Position Summary

Responsible for auditing group (small/large/complex) accounts to ensure premium payments and/or reimbursements are processed/reported in timely/accurate manner. Audits subscriber accounts to ensure premium payments are within grace period. Resolves billing/payment problems, adjudicates insufficient and/or incorrect payments back to subscribers. May serve as primary contact with group regarding monthly reporting activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• 25%: Prepares monthly activity reporting for groups.
• 15%: Audits large and complex accounts.
• 15%: Prepares deposits of subscriber payments.
• 15%: Processes check runs and writes member checks to cut reimbursements to subscribers.
• 15%: Resolves discrepancies noted from controllers.
• 10%: Processes refunds to subscribers.
• 5%: Responds accurately and timely to internal/external customers with regard to reporting and processing of premium payments and reimbursements.

Required Education

• Associate Degree or 2 years of job related work experience.

Required Work Experience

• 1 year of experience in accounting, audit/compliance, or a combination of these.

Pay Transparency

• This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay someone for this position is $14.41/hour - $20.58/hour W-2.
