Job summary

Academy Sports + Outdoors in Cookeville, TN, is hiring a warehouse associate to support inventory accuracy and store fulfillment. You’ll count products, audit shipments, and learn company policies while maintaining safety standards.

This role requires the ability to work in mezzanines, in varying temperatures, and to flex hours including evenings and weekends. Regular attendance and a high school diploma are expected as part of joining our team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months related work experience preferred.
• Able to operate handheld RF terminal and learn company protocols.
• Able to work in mezzanines and/or high storage areas up to 50 feet.

Responsibilities

• Counts products in back stock locations using handheld RF terminal.
• Audits outbound store containers for pick accuracy.
• Audits new vendor inbound receipts for compliance with guidelines.
• Audits departing outbound store trailers for manifest accuracy.
• Duties may change and employees may perform other duties as assigned.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Six months related work experience preferred.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or G.E.D. required.

• Counts products in back stock locations using hand-held radio frequency terminal
• Audits outbound store containers for pick accuracy
• Audits new vendor inbound receipts for compliance with Academy guidelines
• Audits departing outbound store trailers for manifest accuracy
• May also include a detail trailer audit for manifest and containers level accuracy
• Required to learn company policies and procedures
• Required to learn company safety rules
• Duties may change and associates may be required to perform other duties as assigned
