Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. seeks an AP Auditor to reconcile supplier invoices with receiving documents and coordinate with inventory control and merchandising teams.

You will ensure accurate inventory valuation and process supplier cash receipts, credits, and tax stamps while communicating clearly with divisions and suppliers. This role requires a High School diploma, 6+ months in AP and as a McLane cost & deal auditor, with strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
Six months or more experience in accounts payable in a computerized environment.
Six months or more experience as a McLane cost & deal auditor.
Ability to communicate well at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to assess and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Proactive in recognizing issues and taking action.

Responsibilities

Reconcile supplier invoices to receiving documents and communicate with inventory control and merchandising teams.
Make adjustments before releasing invoices to Accounts Payable to ensure inventory valuation is correct.
Follow up and collect from EFT suppliers on credit funds due back to McLane.
Reconcile and process supplier cash receipts and credit memos.
Match to McLane debit memos or deal with billbacks and process to the correct G/L account.
Prepare reconciliation of transactions processed vs wired by suppliers.
Identify and resolve supplier or merchandising issues to improve match rate.
Process payment on divisional purchases of tax stamps.
Maintain attention to detail and clear communication with division personnel.
Other duties may be assigned.

This includes the reconciliation of electronic payments taken to those posted to payables.

What You’ll Do As An AP Auditor

Reconcile supplier invoice to receiving document, communicating with division inventory control and/or corporate or division merchandising.

Make necessary adjustments prior to releasing invoice to Accounts Payable to ensure inventory is valued correctly.
