Job summary

Arizona Criminal Justice Commission is seeking an Auditor 3 to conduct complex audits for city, county, and state entities under limited supervision of the Chief of Operations. The role involves examining financial records, contracts, and compliance documents, and preparing detailed reports with recommendations.

The successful candidate will bring at least two years of auditing experience, a degree in accounting, and knowledge of GAAS/GAS and grant regulations, plus strong communication skills

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of federal and state grant regulations.
  • Knowledge of GAAS and GAS auditing standards.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Arizona driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct complex auditing reviews of financial records, contracts and compliance documentation.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports.
  • Advise on audit findings and corrective actions.
  • Support under limited supervision of Chief of Operations.

The Auditor 3 conducts complex auditing reviews for city, county, and state organizations under limited supervision of the Chief of Operations at the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission. The role involves examining financial records, contracts, and compliance documentation; preparing detailed audit reports; and advising on audit findings and corrective actions in accordance with generally-accepted auditing standards.

Key qualifications
  • At least two years' experience as an auditor or equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or closely related field
  • Knowledge of Federal and State rules and regulations pertaining to grant programs
  • Thorough knowledge of auditing principles and government audit standards (GAAS and GAS)
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Arizona Driver's License
