Role Description

The Auditor role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Dayton Metropolitan Area. In this role, the auditor will perform financial and compliance audits, including planning engagements, testing controls, and analyzing financial data to ensure accuracy and adherence to applicable regulations and standards. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing client documentation, preparing work papers, identifying findings or variances, and drafting clear, well-supported audit reports. The auditor will collaborate with engagement teams and client personnel, communicate audit results, and recommend improvements to processes and internal controls. The role also involves staying current on accounting and auditing standards, participating in training, and contributing to a high-quality client service experience.

Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of auditing principles, GAAP, and applicable regulatory standards, with the ability to apply them in practical client situations.
  • Proficiency in accounting, financial analysis, and reconciliations, including preparing and reviewing financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Experience with audit planning, risk assessment, internal control evaluation, and sampling methodologies.
  • Comfort with audit and accounting software, spreadsheets, and data analysis tools; ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document findings clearly and interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to ethical conduct, attention to detail, and a high level of professional integrity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA certification or progress toward licensure is preferred.
  • Prior public accounting or audit experience is highly beneficial; exposure to a variety of industries is a plus.
  • Ability to work on-site in the Dayton Metropolitan Area and collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
