Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Indiana is hiring an Auditor for the 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 3:00pm-1:00am). You will verify inbound/outbound shipments, inspect for damage, and ensure orders match customer specs. Pay starts at $20.50 per hour with a $1 shift differential, plus benefits.

Required experience with a WMS system and proficiency in Excel; physical stamina for standing and walking; High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Training and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Must meet material handling equipment certification requirements.

• 6 months warehousing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Count inbound and outbound product for accuracy and compare to manifest.
• Check for damage, infestation, and production code dates before storage or shipment.
• Ensure quantities, labeling, and addresses match customer orders.
• Safely operate forklift or other materials handling equipment as required.
• Maintain a clean, neat and orderly warehouse area.
• Assist in physical inventories and keep accurate records.

The core responsibilities of this role include: Accurately checking or counting all products for both inbound and outbound freight and ensuring all product is free of damage or defect. Ensure the quantity, quality, labeling, and shipping address of orders correspond to customer specifications or other requirements.

Position: Auditor

Shift: 2nd Shift Monday - Thursday 3:00pm-1:am

Pay: $20.50 PLUS $1.00 Shift Differential

In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:

• Experience using a commercial WMS (warehouse management system) such as Blue Yonder, Red Prairie, JDA, SAP, etc.


• Microsoft Office software, including Excel.


• Ability to work in a sometimes physical, hands-on role that includes extended period of standing and walking.

Role Purpose

Responsible for the accurate checking or counting of all product for both inbound and outbound freight and for ensuring all product is free of damage and infestation and production code dates are properly recorded. Ensure the quantity, quality, labeling, and addressing of orders corresponds to customer specifications or other requirements.

Key Accountabilities

• Count all inbound product, compare to manifest, and check all shipments for damage, infestation, and production code dates before product is stored.


• Report shortages, damages, and mis-shipments on appropriate forms and forward to appropriate party.


• Sign for inbound shipments or accept signature for outbound merchandise due to a special request.


• Check contents of outbound freight as filled and assembled by warehouse personnel.


• Compare the quantity, quality, labeling, and address with customer's order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct.


• Safely and effectively operate forklift or any other materials handling equipment as required and assist in the loading or unloading of merchandise moving into or out of the warehouse as needed.


• Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.


• Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse and conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.


• Participate in physical inventories.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education And Experience

• Must meet material handling equipment certification requirements


• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred


• 6 months warehousing/material handling experience, preferred
