Job summary

Vrakas CPAs + Advisors in Madison seeks an Audit Supervisor to lead audit, review, and compilation engagements, while mentoring staff.

You will coordinate staffing, manage budgets, and build client relationships across industries, with travel as needed. CPA licensure and accounting degree required. Join a people-first firm that values growth and collaboration.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience providing assurance services in public accounting.
• 1+ years of supervisory or mentor experience.
• Bachelor's or master's in accounting or equivalent.
• Must possess the necessary credit hours to be eligible for CPA licensure.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
• Ability to foster client relationships across various industries.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 with a strong understanding of Excel and Word.
• Ability to address requests from clients and the firm in a timely, precise, and professional manner.
• Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective in both independent work and team collaboration.
• Ability to consistently perform services with integrity, reliability, and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Supervise associates, encourage collaboration, and monitor teams as they execute audits, reviews, and compilations
• Continue to enhance technical skills and in-depth knowledge of client services while working across various industries
• Coordinate engagement staffing, monitor budgets and project performance, and manage timelines to ensure efficient execution and high-quality client service
• Begin facilitating client relationships and assurance tasks in a manager role
• Regularly collaborate with shareholders, managers, and other internal leaders
• Work directly with controllers, CFOs, and business owners through assurance engagements
• Continued assurance, education, and technical training to ensure professional development
• Travel is expected, as needed, to meet firm and client needs

• CCH accounting software experience, including Workflow, Engagement, and PracticeManagement
