Audit Supervisor Responsibilities
As an Audit Supervisor, you’ll oversee multiple engagements while mentoring staff and ensuring high-quality audit delivery:
- Manage and oversee multiple audit engagements from planning through completion
- Review workpapers, financial statements, and audit documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Supervise, mentor, and develop audit staff and seniors
- Ensure proper risk assessment and evaluation of internal controls
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on assigned engagements
- Monitor engagement progress, budgets, and deadlines
- Resolve complex accounting and audit issuesCoordinate with Audit Managers on engagement strategy
- Provide guidance on GAAP/GAAS application and technical accounting matters
- Assist with scheduling, staffing, and performance feedback
Audit Supervisor Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
- CPA required or advancement towards status
- 5–7 years of progressive audit experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and GAAS
- Experience with Fund Accounting a plus
- Proven ability to supervise and develop staff
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and client management skills
