Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Audit Senior Manager, State and Local Government, for a Top 100 CPA firm. Enjoy 5 weeks of PTO, 5% 401K matching, and a hybrid work model designed to promote balance while delivering exceptional service to local government clients.

The ideal candidate will bring 7–10 years of public accounting, CPA license, ability to travel to client sites, and a track record in state and local government audits, GAAP and GASB.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in public accounting with 2+ years in a manager role, focus on state and local government audits.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA license required.
• Ability to travel to client locations.
• Demonstrated ability to bring in new business to a CPA Firm.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and GASB standards.
• Experience with GAGAS/Yellow Book, GAAS, and Uniform Guidance.
• Ability to direct and train staff.
• Exposure to not-for-profit audits.

Qualifications

• Approximately 7 to 10 years of experience in public accounting and a minimum of 2 years in a manager position, with significant experience in the public sector, including auditing state and local governments (i.e., cities, counties, special districts, charter schools, etc.)
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• Holds a current and valid CPA license.
• Ability to travel to assigned client locations.
• Demonstrated ability to bring in new business to a CPA Firm
• Possesses thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the United States, (U.S. GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) standards
• Significant experience conducting audits in accordance with General Accepted Governmental Auditing Standards (GAGAS/Yellow Book), Generally Accepted Audit Standards (GAAS) and the Uniform Guidance
• Maintains appropriate compliance with all Firm-wide policies and procedures.
• Ability to direct, review and train departmental staff.
• Exposure to conducting audits of not for profit organizations
