Job summary

CLA is seeking an Audit Senior to join our State and Local Government (SLG) practice in the Northeast Region offices. The role focuses on planning, leading, and executing Assurance engagements for a variety of local, county, and state government clients.

You will collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables. A Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, 2+ years of audit experience, SLG exposure, and CPA eligibility are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 2 years of relevant audit experience required.
• SLG industry experience is a plus.
• CPA or eligible to sit for the CPA exam preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and execute Assurance engagements to provide excellent client service.
• Work closely with clients and decision makers while performing a wide range of assurance procedures.
• Audit complex areas/transactions and prepare financial statements and related reports.
• Research, analyze, and report on accounting, auditing, and related issues and developments.
• Schedule, delegate, and train team members to help them build inspired careers.
• Collaborate with managers/principals to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
