Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) Northeast’s Higher Education team is hiring an Audit & Assurance Senior to join our MA office. The role focuses on university clients, delivering audits, reviews, and compilations with a hands-on leadership approach in a traditional in-office setting.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Accounting (or related field) and 2+ years in public accounting, with CPA eligibility preferred. Some travel to client sites, including overnight stays, may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is preferred.
• Two or more years of public accounting experience with emphasis in financial statement preparation, audits, reviews, and compilations is required.
• Prior experience with an established public accounting or professional services firm is preferred.
• Ability to travel to client sites which may also require infrequent overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Executing and managing the day-to-day activities of audit engagements with university clients from start to finish, including managing the budget, planning, fieldwork, directing staff and completing financial statements, including related disclosures.
• Reviewing client accounting and operating procedures.
• Developing and assessing the design and implementation of internal controls.
• Preparing all necessary financial statement and related disclosures and reportable condition correspondence letters.
• Communicating technical matters to staff, management, and clients clearly.

This is an in-office position based out of our Southern New England office locations.

How you'll create opportunities in this Audit Senior role:

The compensation range for this position in Massachusetts is: $86,000.00 - $141,000.00

The compensation range for this position in Maryland is: $116,000.00 - $187,000.00
