Cherry Bekaert is seeking an Audit Senior for our Coral Gables or Ft. Lauderdale office in a hybrid role. The candidate will lead audit engagements, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality financial reporting.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in public accounting, a CPA trajectory, and a Bachelor's in accounting (Masters preferred). Strong project management and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of public accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting; Masters preferred.
• CPA certification or eligibility to obtain CPA license.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously (multi-task).

Responsibilities

• Dialogue over engagement efficiencies and client-specific risks.
• Develop audit approach to be used by the engagement teams.
• Instruct and oversee fellow A&A Staff throughout engagements.
• Broaden technical knowledge through review of complex client transactions.
• Financial statement preparation and/or review.
• Complete general audit procedures (coordination of audit closing communications, drafting client correspondence, resolving open items).
• Research technical issues using online tools.
• Perform other duties as needed on engagements and as assigned by supervisory personnel.

As An Audit Senior, You Will

• Experience using Engagement is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in accounting. Masters preferred
• CPA certified or the eligibility to work toward obtaining a CPA license

• Acquisition Accounting experience is a plus
