Job summary

Carr, Riggs & Ingram in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Senior Associate for Audit to join our growing team and deliver high-quality audit engagements for diverse clients. You will assist in planning, executing, and supervising fieldwork under supervision, while developing technical skills and GAAP knowledge.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in public accounting, CPA eligibility, strong communication, and proficiency in accounting software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in public accounting with progressive responsibility.
• CPA eligibility to sit for CPA exam; CPA preferred.
• Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs diversified accounting and auditing assignments under supervision.
• Participates in planning and scheduling client engagements.
• Prepares and indexes working papers; applies GAAP principles.
• Develops understanding of GAAP, other accounting bases, and financial statements.
• Understands auditing standards and common procedures.
• Communicates effectively with clients to obtain necessary information.
