Job summary

EisnerAmper is expanding its Affordable Housing Assurance practice in the Columbus, OH area. The Audit Senior Associate will lead engagement management and coordinate audit activities, reviews, and client communications to ensure compliance and timely delivery of high-quality reports.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, at least 2 years of progressive audit or assurance experience, and CPA/EA credentials; Master’s degree is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
  • Master’s degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
  • CPA or EA credential is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engagement management through internal communication and tracking of engagement status.
  • Review engagement letters prepared by Associates.
  • Review confirmations, including debt, syndicators, etc.
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding request lists and confirmations.
  • Perform or review compliance testing for complex audits (HUD, RD, NFP).
  • Prepare audit files, including TBs, GLs, bank statements, and other supporting documents.
  • Complete 10%, contractor, and owner certifications, and DCRs.
  • Review financial statement changes and draft AJEs, RJEs, and ATBs.
  • Prepare or review final financial statements and lockdown files.
  • Actively participate in firm initiatives.
  • Serve as a role model and mentor to Associates and interns.

Education
