Job summary

CBIZ, Inc. in Tampa, FL, seeks a staff CPA to complete accounting, tax and audit engagements for clients, while communicating with engagement managers and ensuring quality standards. You will analyze client businesses, manage budgets, and explain variances.

You will review associates’ work, supervise and mentor staff, participate in billing, and develop knowledge in specialty practices. Travel may be required; CPA candidates preferred; Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation or related field.
• CPA candidates preferred.
• 2 years of experience in public accounting or related field.
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Complete all aspects of accounting, tax and audit engagements for clients including status updates to engagement managers.
• Adhere to engagement budget constraints and complete assigned tasks within the time requested; explain variances when needed.
• Review associates' accounting, tax or auditing work and provide constructive review points.
• Supervise associates on engagements, train and mentor associate staff.
• May be involved in client billing processes by assisting Managers or Directors.
