They often supervise one or more staff and/or experienced staff auditors, instruct them in work to be performed, review the work done, and direct necessary revisions. Senior auditors are provided a variety of diversified auditing and accounting assignments under the supervision of different professionals. Assessment of performance is based their ability to effectively run engagements, supervise staff, and on the quality of work, application of auditing and accounting knowledge, and ability to complete assignments in a timely manner
