Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a data and financial reporting specialist to ensure accurate financial reporting and data analysis. You will extract data from government systems (Ektropy, SharePoint List 365, GFEBS), validate results, and identify discrepancies and trends to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with BS/BA; or 9 years with a high school diploma.
• Public Trust Eligibility
• U.S. citizen
• Experience with Tableau and Power BI for reporting
• SQL database knowledge
• Statistics understanding; experience with Excel, SPSS and SAS

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and data analysis
• Extract and validate financial data from government systems, including Ektropy, SharePoint List 365, and GFEBS
• Analyze data to identify discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement
• Provide inputs for dashboard teams to generate relational view outputs in Excel, PDF, and PowerPoint
• Support audit readiness activities, including documentation, validation, and remediation of findings
• Maintain Key Supporting Documents for audit purposes
• Resolve unmatched transactions and validate unliquidated obligations
• Prepare responses to audit findings and implement corrective actions
• Provide recommendations for interface improvements and collaborate with dashboard teams
• Assist with formatting outputs and ensure alignment with government standards
• Present recommendations for interface improvements to the Deputy and Chief, FMB
• Contribute to budget tracking, expenditure analysis, and compliance reviews
• Develop and maintain a Quality Control program to ensure data reliability
