SVA’s Madison, Wisconsin CPA practice seeks a Quality Manager who will influence how assurance teams work, learn, and deliver exceptional service to clients. You’ll partner with the Director of Quality Management and Assurance Service Line Leader to strengthen quality management, perform engagement quality reviews, and translate evolving standards into practical resources for teams.

Qualifications

CPA license required and 7+ years of audit experience in public accounting.
Strong knowledge of audit methodology, documentation, and engagement review.
Experience with Government Auditing Standards and Single Audits is strongly preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to simplify technical concepts.
Collaborative mindset and ability to help others grow and succeed.
Comfort working independently while partnering with assurance leaders.

Responsibilities

Perform Engagement Quality Reviews for assurance engagements, with emphasis on Government Auditing Standards (HUD, USDA-RD, Single Audits).
Research complex accounting and auditing matters and provide clear, practical guidance to assurance professionals.
Monitor new accounting and auditing standards and implement across the firm.
Support compliance with GAGAS/Yellow Book requirements.
Serve as a Qualified Reviewer or Assurance Manager on client engagements as capacity allows.
Help plan and execute internal inspections and external peer reviews.
