Job summary

A national recruiting company is seeking an Audit Program Support MIS/Metrics Analyst in Los Angeles to manage and report on operational metrics effectively. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of data analysis and risk management experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in MS Access and Excel. This contract position requires building excellent relationships across the Line of Business and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Audit Program Support MIS/Metrics Analyst

Work closely with the BUSA ORM (Operational Risk Management) and Controls Validation leads to continually identify, define, and engage the Line of Business (LoB) to enhance the oversight of the control environment and assure focus on the appropriate areas of concern:

• Weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting of current portfolio statistics presented to a wide audience, often under tight deadlines.
• As changes occur at BUSA, meet with the management to ensure changes are properly reflected in the MIS communicated, and, if needed, escalated.
• Ensure all metric issues are escalated/documented and tracked to resolution.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships across the entire LoB.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years data analysis, operational finance, or risk management experience.
• Experience querying, manipulating, and reporting on large data sets with little or no supervision.
• Proven ability to interpret data and make accurate conclusions and actionable recommendations.
• Individual should possess strong interpersonal and influencing as well as active partnering skills.
• The ability to prioritize conflicting demands is an important part of the job.
• Ability to interact with all levels, including senior business managers.
• Ability to work independently and drive multiple priorities to conclusion.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to connect the dots within BUSA.
• Strong knowledge of business operational processes.
• Strong written and oral communications skills.
• Expert knowledge of MS Access, Excel and BA tools.
• Excellent communications, strategy and problem management skills.
