Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Accounting or equivalent degree.
  • CPA or CA certification required.
  • Proficient in GAAP reporting standards.
  • Experience in the Manufacturing sector.
  • 5+ years in public accounting.
  • Strong client relationship skills.
  • Ability to lead teams and manage engagements.
  • Understanding of GAAP, GAAS, and FASB regulations.

By providing a comprehensive review of audit workpapers and financial statements you will be helping to mentor your team as you keep an eye on the quality, completeness, and accuracy of each engagement. You will help facilitate open communication with staff and clients while anticipating and addressing client issues as they arise .Responsibilities:Provide timely , high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations including coordinating the auditing of all required financial statements, related disclosures, and other client deliverablesAssess risk along with design and communicate audit procedures to engagement teamsUnderstand and utilize KSM's Audit MethodologyManage multiple engagement teams and prepare end-of-engagement evaluations for staffUnderstand the skillsets and capabilities of Senior Associates and monitor and review work products that they prepare and report on performance while articulating coaching notes throughout the processIdentify technical accounting matters early and assess the impact on financial statements; coordinate with firm specialists as neededSupervise Audit Seniors on engagement teams and function as an in-charge facilitating field work by monitoring and reporting regarding productivity and adherence to work plan schedules on each assignmentMaintain contact with clients throughout the year to understand the impact of significant developments in the client's business and assess impact on current year audit engagementsDevelop others within the Firm through facilitating levels based or industry training, advising on career development or participating in other Firm initiativesSubscribe to and actively read industry publications and share relevant information with clients as considered applicableAnticipate and address client concerns and escalate issues as they ariseUnderstand KSM's lines of businesses, availability of services and where applicable, discuss with client management opportunities to make valuable introductions to others in the firmDevelop a strategy to utilize relationships external to the firm with different types of Centers of Influence to effectuate business growthManage profitability of projectsEnsure professional development through ongoing educationKeep abreast of the latest developments as they affect GAAP and the Firm's standards and policiesWillingness to travel, as necessary, depending on specific clients and industryRequirements/Qualifications:BS/BA/BBA Degree in Accounting or equivalent degreeCPA or CA CertificationProficient in GAAP reporting standardsExperience within the Manufacturing sectorKnowledge of Cost Accounting5+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environmentUnderstanding of audit services with knowledge of GAAP, GAAS and FASB regulationsA proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationshipsMinimum of 4 years of team lead or in-charge experience overseeing staff on multiple engagementsWe are an equal opportunity employer.
