Job summary

Talentify is seeking an Audit Manager in Chicago to lead multiple audit engagements, ensure quality deliverables, and manage staff development. The role requires deep knowledge of US GAAP/GAAS and strong client communication skills.

Responsibilities include risk assessment, preparing financial statements and notes, mentoring staff, and supporting new business opportunities. MBA or industry experience in real estate, construction, or professional services is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy and CPA license are required.
• Seven or more years of audit experience in public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and GAAS with excellent analytical skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, client communication and ability to mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent engagements with the practice within budget and deadlines.
• Lead audit, review and compilation engagements in line with standards.
• Review workpapers, prepare financial statements and client communications.
• Perform risk assessment and link to audit procedures at engagement start.
• Support business development and provide continuing education or writing when needed.
• Mentor and develop staff and senior accountants on assignments.
