Job summary

Plante Moran in Columbus, OH, is seeking a highly motivated audit professional to join our Audit Team and serve US and Japanese based manufacturing and distribution clients.

You will apply audit theory to perform procedures, review staff work, and help develop ideas for operational improvements, client presentations, and new business.

This role emphasizes leadership, client relationships, and mentoring staff in a collaborative, in-person culture that values growth and inclusion.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of audit experience in public accounting, with manufacturing and distribution clients.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA designation is required.
• Proven experience supervising staff and managing client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Apply understanding of audit theories to perform procedures on assigned audit areas and resolve issues.
• Review staff work and provide constructive feedback.
• Assist managers with operational and control opportunities, client presentations and selling opportunities.
• Develop and execute a practice development plan including networking and new client development.

Your role.

Your work will include, but notbe limited to:

• Apply your understanding of audit theories and procedures on client engagements to perform audit procedures on assigned audit areas, and identify and resolve client audit issues
• Review staff work product while providing constructive feedback and identifying staff developmental needs
• Assist managers in developing ideas to help clients with operational and control opportunities, client presentations and selling opportunities
• Develop and execute a practice development plan which includes networking, new client development and client expansion activities

The qualifications:

• 5+ years of recent, related Audit experience in public accounting; specializing with clientsin the manufacturing and distribution industries
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
• CPA required
• Successful experience supervising and mentoring staff on engagements
• Experience managing client relationships/engagements
• Japanese language skills required- verbal and written

The compensation range reflects the base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this position across our offices in the following regions: CO, IL, OH, and MA. Generally, experienced hires are not hired at or near the maximum salary range, as compensation decisions take into account a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to: responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
