Job summary

Abdo LLP in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Manager on our Business Audit team to lead multiple complex audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through completion. You will mentor staff, manage client relationships, and coordinate with partners to deliver high-quality work.

This role offers a flexible hybrid workplace and a base pay range of $97,000–$132,000, with discretionary bonuses. CPA is required and prior experience in construction, real estate, or manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple complex audit, review, and compilation engagements from proposal through final presentation to client leadership
• Meet with prospective and existing clients to understand needs, scope engagements, and prepare and present proposals and audit results
• Set engagement timelines and staffing plans; delegate work and oversee workflow to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery
• Review and finalize workpapers and audit documentation in accordance with professional and firm standards, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Manage, develop, and train staff; contribute to off‑season training and implementation of new accounting and auditing standards
• Oversee time reporting, billing, WIP, and collections for assigned clients, meeting firm realization and billing goals
• Exercise discretion and sound judgment when working with confidential client information
• Drive firm growth by building client relationships, identifying additional service opportunities, and engaging in networking and other business development activities

As a Manager on Abdo's Business Audit team, you’ll own multiple concurrent engagements—leading audits, reviews, and compilations from planning through completion, guiding your team, and keeping projects running smoothly. You’ll be the primary contact for key business clients and the go-to liaison between partners and staff, building strong, trusted relationships while managing complex audits, reviews, and compilations, always with a strong focus on client service.

Our services include full cycle business audits, reviews, compilations and employee benefit plan audits for clients in construction, real estate, manufacturing and professional services.

At Abdo, we are committed to providing fair, transparent, and competitive compensation that reflects the unique skills and experiences of each candidate. The estimated base pay range for this role is $97,000 - $132,000. Offers are typically made below the maximum to allow room for future compensation increases in the role. The compensation offer will be based on factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications, skills, and business needs.

All employees have the opportunity to earn discretionary bonuses based on demonstration of extraordinary performance, special projects of significant importance, or other major accomplishments. Managers are also eligible for a manager bonus program which is awarded based on the consideration of individual contributions, team accomplishments, and firm growth.
