Overview

We’re seeking an experienced Audit Manager with expertise in not-for-profit organizations. The ideal candidate has solid public accounting experience, strong leadership abilities, and in-depth knowledge of not-for-profit auditing standards. In this role, you’ll lead audit engagements, guide teams, and advise mission-driven organizations with excellence and integrity.

Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee multiple audit engagements for not-for-profit clients, ensuring compliance with GAAP, GAAS, and other applicable standards
• Lead planning, fieldwork, and completion of audits, including risk assessments and internal control evaluations
• Supervise, train, and mentor audit staff and seniors; review workpapers and provide constructive feedback
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact throughout engagements
• Research technical accounting and auditing issues relevant to the not-for-profit sector and provide guidance to clients and team members
• Ensure timely completion of engagements within budget and deadlines
• Collaborate with partners and directors to identify business development opportunities and expand services to existing clients

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required
• Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience, with a strong focus on not-for-profit audits
• Prior supervisory or management experience leading audit teams
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and auditing standards specific to not-for-profit entities
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
• Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office applications
