RubinBrown LLP invites driven students to an eight-week internship at their Kansas City office, offering hands-on experience in public accounting. Interns engage in client work both in-office and on-site at client locations, supported by a Career Advocate who helps set personalized goals and objectives.

During the program, interns receive orientation, training on information technology, and exposure to audit testing, internal controls, and industry research.

Qualifikationen

• Junior or Senior status is preferred.
• Introductory accounting courses are preferred.
• Prior completion of Auditing or Tax class is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Aufgaben

• Direct communication with clients and staff.
• Client work in the office and at clients' offices.
• Maintain a full-time schedule for eight weeks or more.
• Audit testing and procedures on key engagement areas.
• Insight into audit risk assessment and analysis process.
• Enhanced understanding and analysis of internal controls.
• Gather and analyze industry and company research from public documents.
• Prepare written reports with background, financial review, economy and industry outlook.
• Create and maintain workpaper documentation for client engagements.
• Other duties as assigned.
