Job summary

PwC is seeking an Audit Intern in the United States to participate in financial statement audits and client support tasks. You will learn PwC methodologies, observe audit processes, and develop a solid foundation in accounting and assurance practices.

You will work with teams to analyze financial data, document findings, and apply GAAP/GAAS standards while building professional skills and industry awareness. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• At least a 3.0 overall GPA.
• Before starting full-time at PwC, meet educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment.
• Client service intern positions are considered entry-level—typically third year of a four-year degree or fourth year of a five-year program.

Responsibilities

• Support audit teams in conducting financial statement audits.
• Participate in review and verification of financial documents to uphold transparency and compliance.
• Assist in analysis and interpretation of financial data to identify trends and provide insights.
• Document audit processes and findings to maintain organized records.
• Learn and apply GAAP and GAAS in audit tasks.
• Collaborate with team to monitor financial trends and assess risk factors.
• Contribute to evaluation of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
• Use data analysis to support the audit process and improve financial reporting.
• Observe experienced auditors to develop foundational understanding of audit practices.
