Job summary

Cherry Bekaert LLP is seeking an Audit Intern to gain insight into the public accounting profession and build a solid foundation for your career. You will work for multiple supervisors on a variety of client engagements and apply accounting knowledge using Firm technology.

The role includes shadowing Audit professionals, team-building and training initiatives, and opportunities to participate in marketing or research projects, with travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an accredited accounting or related program, within two years of graduation.
• GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software programs.
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed, including frequent travel.

Responsibilities

• Gain insight into the public accounting profession and build a solid foundation for your career.
• Work for multiple supervisors on a variety of client engagements.
• Apply accounting knowledge using Firm technology while performing client work.
• Shadow Audit professionals of all levels.
• Participate in team building and training initiatives.
• Participate in and present on a marketing or research project.
• Attend social functions: happy hours, lunches, community service projects and other outings.
