Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ offers a full‑time summer Internship as part of the Finance Leadership Development Program.

Interns work on Corporate Audit and Assurance Services projects, gaining exposure to financial, operational, SOX, and IT audits across the Finance organization. Participants will complete onboarding, training, and culminate with presentations to leadership, while networking with senior leaders and peers.

Qualifications

• Current juniors enrolled in BS in Finance, Accountancy, or Business Analytics preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to self-motivate and take responsibility for personal growth and development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in executing financial, operational, SOX 404 and IT audits with the CAD/AIC guidance.
• Collaborate with audit teams to complete audit programs and prepare summaries of issues and risks.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to peers and senior leaders; network across the Finance organization.
• Apply data analytics to gain insights into business practices and controls.
