Job summary

Oliver James Group, Irvine, CA, seeks an experienced Audit Manager to lead engagements from planning to completion while expanding into business advisory and client consulting. The role offers exposure to real estate, technology, life sciences and other middle‑market clients with a focus on quality and leadership.

You will oversee audit teams, review complex areas, and build strong client relationships, mentoring junior staff and contributing to business development efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field with accounting emphasis.
• Active CPA license required.
• Strong audit and technical accounting knowledge.
• Experience leading engagements and developing junior professionals.
• Familiarity with CCH Engagement, Bloomberg Research, ProSystem FX, Excel, Word, Teams and Adobe preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and direct all phases of audit and assurance engagements.
• Lead engagement teams and manage budgets and engagement economics.
• Review complex audit areas including revenue, AR, inventory, debt and equity.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to client management and governing bodies.
• Mentor and develop staff and senior professionals.
• Participate in business development and client proposals.
