Wertz & Associates in Missouri seeks an Audit Associate/Senior to lead and assist audit engagements for closely held businesses and nonprofit clients. You will perform risk assessment, testing, and financial prep while collaborating with Managers and Partners to deliver high-quality service.

Ideal candidates have 0–5 years in public accounting, CPA eligibility or CPA certification, and strong communication and teamwork skills to grow toward Partnership at a respected, long-standing firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required).
• 0–5 years of public accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of audit and accounting principles.
• CPA eligible (Associate) or CPA required (Senior).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Desire to build a long-term career in public accounting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and lead audit and assurance engagements.
• Perform risk assessment, testing, and financial statement prep.
• Work with closely held businesses, nonprofits, and various industries.
• Collaborate directly with Managers and Partners.
• Build client relationships and deliver high-quality service.
