Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA License preferred or CPA-eligible with a plan to pass.
• Prior audit experience is preferred.
• Experience with financial, operational or system audits is desired.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technology platforms.
• Limited travel up to 5% outside West Michigan; local travel is frequent.

Responsibilities

• Work as a member of an engagement team serving diverse clients across industries.
• Participate and lead all phases of an audit, review or compilation, including planning and testing.
• Prepare and review financial statements, workpapers, audit programs, and management reports.
• Review, assess and analyze client internal controls.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies and issues.
• Collaborate with clients and team to assess engagement risk and mitigate risk.
• Maintain active communication to manage expectations, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Present ideas to improve processes and contribute to firm goals.
• Seek opportunities to participate in business development and referrals.
