Job summary

TRUSTA, An Accountancy Corporation in Hawaii is seeking an Audit and Accounting Associate to audit, review or compile financial data, assess internal controls, prepare reports, and assist clients with regulatory compliance.

Associates are supervised by senior associates and managers; the role requires a CPA track and accounting degree, with strong communication and teamwork. Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and accounting software is expected to support GAAP and IFRS disclosures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• CPA license or on track for CPA certificate and license.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-starter with a strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well within teams as well as individually.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook; knowledge of ProSystem fx Engagement, QuickBooks and

• Compile, review, and audit financial statements and supplemental information in accordance with professional standards.
• Understand client’s business and internal controls.
• Manage client information requests and deliverables.
• Review and analyze financial data.
• Prepare and organize workpapers to reconcile account balances and support financial statements.
• Prepare financial statements including disclosures in accordance with GAAP, OCBOA, and IFRS.
• Collaborate with engagement team and clients.
• Demonstrate proficiency with professional standards and financial reporting frameworks, including industry trends by participating in educational opportunities, participating in professional organizations, and reading professional publications.
