Job summary

ENT and Allergy Associates of South Georgia, affiliated with SENTA Partners, is seeking an Audiology Technician to support audiologists in evaluating and treating hearing disorders. You will conduct tests, prepare patients, maintain equipment, and provide administrative support to ensure efficient clinic operations.

The role involves conducting hearing tests, tympanometry,OAEs, and assisting in hearing aid fitting and care, while maintaining patient records and equipment calibration.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with strong patient focus.
• Excellent communication with patients and team members.
• Experience in a medical practice preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hearing tests and assessments using audiometric equipment under the supervision of an audiologist.
• Prepare patients for audiometric evaluations and explain procedures.
• Perform tympanometry and other diagnostic tests as required.
• Assist in fitting, maintenance, and repair of hearing aids and assistive listening devices.
• Maintain and calibrate audiometric equipment and ensure proper functioning.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain files.
• Provide patients with hearing aid use and care instructions.
• Assist audiologists with scheduling and patient flow, including phone inquiries.
• Ensure a clean, organized work environment and follow infection control protocols.
• Stay current with advancements in audiology and hearing aid technology.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Audiology Technician to join our team. The Audiology Technician will support our audiologists in the evaluation and treatment of hearing disorders. This role involves conducting hearing tests, preparing patients for procedures, maintaining equipment, and providing administrative support to ensure efficient clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct hearing tests and assessments using audiometric equipment under the supervision of an audiologist.


• Prepare patients for audiometric evaluations, including explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort.


• Perform tympanometry, otoacoustic emissions (OAEs), and other diagnostic tests as required.


• Assist in the fitting, maintenance, and repair of hearing aids and assistive listening devices.


• Maintain and calibrate audiometric equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition.


• Record and document patient information accurately and maintain patient files.


• Provide patients with information and instructions regarding hearing aid use and care.


• Assist audiologists with administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling phone inquiries.


• Ensure a clean and organized work environment, following all safety and infection control protocols.


• Stay current with advancements in audiology and hearing aid technology through ongoing education and training.

Requirements

Qualifications

• High School graduate or G.E.D equivalent


• Certified Medical Assistant, preferred.


• Three (3) years prior experience in a medical practice is preferred.
