Job summary

Kaiser Permanente extern audiology position in California is limited to students completing their 4th year externship before licensure. You will work under the direct supervision of a licensed audiologist, focusing on diagnostic evaluation and rehabilitation for hearing and balance disorders.

Responsibilities include fitting and programming hearing aids, cochlear implant assessments, electrophysiologic tests, and coordinating results with related educational and medical data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Completion of three (3) years in a doctoral level audiology program or two (2) years in an accelerated doctoral level audiology program required.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of a licensed audiologist, provides diagnostic evaluation of hearing, prevention, habilitation and rehabilitation services for auditory and balance problems.
• Fits, programs and dispenses hearing aids and participates in cochlear implant assessments.
• Conducts electrophysiologic evaluations of the vestibular and auditory mechanisms.
