Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking an Audiologist to diagnose, treat, and manage hearing and balance disorders, enhancing patient quality of life. You will perform comprehensive evaluations, fit and program hearing aids, and provide counseling and rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• Licensure for dispensing hearing aids within the State of Washington required.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology of auditory and vestibular systems.
• Understanding of pathological states of auditory/vestibular systems.
• Knowledge of medical systems related to these states.
• Understanding evaluation and treatment of these states (medical and non-medical).
• Understanding prognosis of interventions (short and long term).
• Understanding speech, hearing and language development timeline.
• Knowledge of electronics to modify and fit hearing aids.
• Awareness of psychosocial impact of hearing loss.
• Knowledge of communication/education options for children with hearing loss.
• Knowledge of devices and products for people with hearing loss.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to assess and treat a wide variety of hearing loss types.
