Job summary

University of Miami, Department of Otolaryngology, seeks a full-time Audiologist 1 to work in Miami, FL. The role involves administering and interpreting a range of audiology tests, patient education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds a Doctorate in Audiology or a Master's with experience, has a current Florida license, and is comfortable covering multiple audiology specialties. Travel to satellite clinics may be required. Bilingual skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Audiology (AuD) required; Masters considered with experience.
• Current Florida Audiologist license required.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred; 1 year audiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs immittance and emissions testing and records results.
• Conducts auditory evoked potential assessments for patients.
• Assesses hearing sensitivity and communicates results to patients and families.
• Dispenses and fits assistive listening devices based on patient needs.
• Consults with physicians about patient’s future needs and progress.
• Maintains client records at all stages including evaluation and discharge.
• Documents professional and clinical reports and conducts research on auditory topics.
• participates in conferences, trainings to stay updated on new hearing or speech disorder treatments.
• Adheres to University policies and safeguards University assets.
