Job summary

Sonova USA Inc. in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking an Audiologist / Hearing Instrument Specialist to perform patient hearing assessments, advise on device options, and educate patients on the benefits and usage of hearing aids.

The role supports clinic operations within AudioNova, offering a dynamic environment and opportunities to develop clinical skills. The position requires MI licensing in hearing aid dispensing (or eligibility), with a Doctorate in Audiology preferred, and includes competitive

Qualifications

• Hearing aid dispensing license in Michigan required or preferred.
• Doctorate in Audiology preferred for advanced clinical practice.
• 3rd and 4th year Audiology externs are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient hearing tests and interpret results to recommend instrument options.
• Explain benefits of hearing health care and answer patient questions about hearing instruments.
• Discuss pricing and value of hearing care and long‑term outcomes of device use.
• Engage in community outreach to attract new patients and referrals.
• Teach patients to use new technologies to meet their hearing goals.
• Perform hearing aid repairs, checks, and cleanings; ensure device performance.
• Support clinic operations with team assistance to maintain smooth daily workflow.

Education

Hearing Aid Dispensing License in Michigan

Doctorate in Audiology preferred

Externship program for 3rd/4th year Audiology students encouraged

$65 - 75,000 + Commission!

Essential Functions

• Perform patient hearing test assessments; analyze results and recommend varied treatment and product options
• Address patient's questions and concerns regarding benefits of Hearing Aid use
• Discuss pricing of hearing instruments, presenting the value of hearing health care, your services, and the long-term effects of hearing aid use
• Community outreach efforts to generate new patient referrals
• Teach patients how to utilize the new technology to meet their hearing goals
• Hearing aid repairs, checks, and cleanings.
• Perform adjustments to fitted products; comply with all procedural company quality standards and guidelines to maximize product performance and overcome patient concerns/objections.
• With direct support of clinic staff, ensure smooth office operations

• Hearing Aid Dispensing License in the state of Michigan
• Doctorate in Audiology preferred
• 3rd and 4th year Audiology Externs are encouraged to apply
