Job summary

ENT and Allergy Associates seeks enthusiastic Audiology Externs to join our team across our nationwide locations. This paid externship ($21.64/hr) provides hands-on clinical experience alongside experienced audiologists and otolaryngologists, with exposure to diagnostics, OAEs, VNG, ECochG, and hearing aid services.

Externs receive a structured curriculum with onsite trainings, dedicated sessions on VNG/ABR/ECochG, and regular check-ins to support clinical and educational goals.

Qualifications

• Externship in audiology and hands-on clinical exposure.
• Experience with hearing aid fittings, troubleshooting and patient counseling.
• Exposure to OAEs, VNG, and ECochG testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic audiological testing for pediatric and adult patients.
• Assist in hearing aid evaluations, fittings, follow-ups, and troubleshooting with multiple manufacturers.
• Assist with Ears plug fitting and osseointegrated device fittings where available.
• Support patient rapport-building and counseling across services.

ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA), the nation’s largest ENT practice with80locations throughout New York, New Jersey,Texas,Pennsylvaniais seeking enthusiastic and motivated Audiology Externs to join our team. We offer a comprehensive, hands-on externship experience in a collaborative environment alongside experienced audiologists, renowned otolaryngologists, and otologists.

Compensation: $21.64/hr

Clinical Experience

Our fast-paced, high-volume offices provide extensive exposure across a wide range of audiological services for patients of all ages, including:

• Comprehensive diagnostic audiological testing for pediatrics and adults

• Otoacoustic Emissions (OAEs)

• Vestibular testing (VNG)

• Electrocochleography (ECochG)

• Hearing aid evaluations, fittings, follow-ups, and troubleshooting with multiple manufacturers

• Ear plug fitting and dispensing

• Auditory osseointegrated device fitting and dispensing (availability varies by location)

• Patient rapport-building, history-gathering, and counseling across all service areas

Extern Curriculum & Educational Support

Our structured curriculum is designed to complement clinical training with targeted educational programming throughout the year:

• Onsite trainings with leading hearing aid manufacturers

• Dedicated educational sessions on VNG, ABR, and ECochG

• Hearing aid acceptance and counseling training

• Enrichment and professional development activities

• Invitations to all departmental audiologist trainings and events

• Regular check-ins with the audiology management team to support your clinical and educational goals

Placement & Compensation

Externs will be primarily placed at one or two offices selected to maximize their learning experience. Placement decisions take both educational value and extern preferences into consideration.

This is a paid externship ($21.64/hr) with the potential for full-time employment as an audiologist upon licensure.
