About the Role
We are seeking a licensed Audiologist to provide comprehensive audiology services for residents in a long-term care setting. This role requires monthly scheduled onsite visits, emergency availability, and thorough documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. The Audiologist will collaborate closely with nursing leadership to ensure seamless resident care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct monthly scheduled visits and emergency hearing assessments
- Perform comprehensive audiology screenings for each resident at least once annually
- Provide unlimited hearing aid adjustments and maintenance as needed
- Collaborate with Nurse Manager/Director of Nursing for continuity of care
- Accurately document all services in Sigma Care (EHR) system
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations including billing standards
- Manage direct billing to Medicare, Medicaid, and private pay sources independently (no county reimbursement)
- Maintain consistent communication with nursing leadership and provide coverage during absences
Qualifications
- Licensed Audiologist in the State of New Jersey (required)
- Active malpractice insurance (required)
- Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric care (preferred)
- Familiarity with Sigma Care or other EHR systems (preferred)
- Proficiency in hearing aid assessment and adjustments
- Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid/private pay billing processes
