The role requires Au.D. or M.A. in Audiology, appropriate licensure, and CCC-A preferred.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) or Master’s degree in Audiology from an accredited program.
  • Active or eligible Audiologist license and any required school-based credentials.
  • ASHA CCC-A preferred.
  • Experience with pediatric or school-aged populations in educational or clinical settings.
  • Knowledge of hearing disorders, educational audiology practices, assistive listening technology, and special education services.
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and accommodations for hearing impairments.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct audiological evaluations and hearing screenings to assess students’ hearing and educational needs.
  • Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations to support access to instruction.
  • Collaborate with IEP teams to develop goals, accommodations, and service recommendations.
  • Monitor and manage hearing assistive technology, including hearing aids and FM systems.
  • Consult with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams regarding hearing loss and classroom accommodations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including reports and progress updates.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary discussions to support student success.
  • Provide training and support to staff regarding hearing impairments and assistive technology.

The Audiologist provides hearing evaluations, audiological assessments, and consultative services to support students with hearing and auditory needs. This role helps ensure students can effectively access educational instruction and school activities by identifying hearing-related barriers, recommending appropriate accommodations and assistive technology, and collaborating with educational teams to promote student success.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct audiological evaluations and hearing screenings to assess students’ hearing, auditory processing, and related educational needs
  • Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations to support student access to instruction and school-based activities
  • Collaborate with IEP teams to develop individualized goals, accommodations, and service recommendations for students with hearing-related needs
  • Monitor and manage hearing assistive technology, including hearing aids, FM systems, and other amplification devices
  • Consult with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams regarding hearing loss, classroom accommodations, and communication strategies
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including evaluation reports, service logs, and progress updates
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions to support student success
  • Provide training and support to staff regarding hearing impairments, assistive technology, and educational access
Qualifications

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) preferred
  • Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations in educational or clinical settings
  • Knowledge of hearing disorders, educational audiology practices, assistive listening technology, and special education services
  • Familiarity with IEP processes, special education laws, and accommodations for students with hearing impairments
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload and support students with diverse hearing and communication needs
