Job summary

Harbor Audiology in Tacoma, WA is seeking a patient-focused audiologist to join our growing practice. You will conduct hearing evaluations, fit and program hearing aids, and educate patients on options while working independently with strong team support.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) required.
• Active or eligible Washington State Dispensing License.
• Sales experience is a plus but not required.
• New grads welcome—we’ll mentor and support growth.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hearing evaluations for adults 18+.
• Perform tympanometry and earmold impressions.
• Educate patients and families on hearing health options.
• Recommend, fit, and program hearing aids using REM.
• Provide follow-up care, adjustments, and long-term support.
• Counsel patients on communication strategies and device use.
• Document visits and coordinate care with physicians.
• Participate in community outreach and health fairs.
• Uphold HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards.

What You’ll Do

As a key member of our Tacoma team, you'll have the opportunity to work independently while enjoying full support from our clinical and administrative staff. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting hearing evaluations for patients ages 18 and up
• Performing tympanometry and earmold impressions
• Educating patients and families on hearing health and treatment options
• Recommending, fitting, and programming hearing aids using Real Ear Measurement (REM)
• Providing follow-up care, adjustments, and long-term patient support
• Counseling patients on communication strategies and hearing device use
• Documenting visits and coordinating care with referring physicians
• Participating in community outreach events, health fairs, and educational seminars
• Upholding HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
