Job description

Parkway Hearing is an independently owned, patient-centered audiology practice serving the Chestnut Hill community—one of the most well-established and highly educated areas of the Greater Boston region. The practice is known for providing evidence-based, pressure-free care grounded in clinical best practices. Providers have full professional autonomy to make the decisions needed to support each patient’s long-term hearing health.

Specialties include tinnitus retraining therapy (TRT), sound tolerance disorders such as misophonia/hyperacusis, and comprehensive adult diagnostics. The practice maintains a warm, collaborative environment focused on lifelong learning, high-touch patient care, and excellent outcomes.

Position Overview

Parkway Hearing is seeking a compassionate, motivated Audiologist (Au.D.) to join their team in Chestnut Hill. This role can be structured as full-time or part-time.

The ideal provider is curious, open to coaching, and eager to grow in specialty areas such as TRT and misophonia. You’ll step into an environment where clinical autonomy is respected, best practices are non-negotiable, and your ability to create meaningful patient connections is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive audiological evaluations for primarily adult patients.
  • Provide patient-centered care following all audiology best practices, including verification, validated outcome measures, and evidence-based treatment pathways.
  • Manage and treat tinnitus, hyperacusis, misophonia, and sound-tolerance disorders (training available for the right candidate).
  • Counsel patients and families with clarity, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Fit and program hearing instruments using real-ear verification and evidence-based protocols.
  • Collaborate with the owner and clinical team to ensure continuity of care and strong patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow all compliance protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing learning, case discussions, and process improvements within the clinic.
Who Thrives Here

You’ll love this role if you are someone who is:

  • Personable, warm, and welcoming — patients should feel cared for the moment they meet you.
  • Curious and coachable, with a growth mindset and desire to deepen expertise in tinnitus and sound-tolerance disorders.
  • Committed to best practices, clinical excellence, and long-term patient relationships.
  • Collaborative, yet confident in independent clinical decision-making.
  • Ethical and patient-first — pressure tactics are never part of the care model here.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) required
  • Eligible for/holding Massachusetts audiology licensure
  • Experience with adult diagnostics and hearing aid fitting strongly preferred
  • Interest in TRT, misophonia, or sound-tolerance disorders (training available)
