Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Audio Visual (AV) Systems and related hardware; proven ability to install, configure, and support integrated AV environments.
• Hands-on Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving AV, networking, and connectivity issues in live settings.
• Experience with Video Conferencing platforms and equipment, including setup, optimization, and user support.
• Working understanding of Lighting and Projectors, including selection, positioning, calibration, and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and documentation; familiarity with AV control systems is a plus.
• Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities in dynamic environments.
• Relevant technical certification or coursework in AV technology, electronics, or IT is preferred; prior experience as an AV technician or similar role is beneficial.

Role Description

This is a full-time, hybrid Audio Visual Technician role based in Reston, VA, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Audio Visual Technician will install, configure, and maintain AV systems, including displays, projectors, audio equipment, and control systems in client environments and internal facilities. Daily responsibilities include setting up and supporting video conferencing solutions, testing equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring high-quality sound and visual performance for meetings and events. The role also involves coordinating with clients and internal teams, documenting system configurations, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to service requests in a timely manner. The technician will follow safety and quality standards, stay current with AV technologies, and contribute to continuous improvement of AV processes and workflows.
