Role Description

The Audio Visual Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Healdsburg, CA. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining audio visual systems, including smart home and commercial control solutions. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and testing video conferencing systems, projectors, and lighting control, as well as integrating AV components with networking and automation platforms. The technician will diagnose and resolve technical issues, perform routine inspections, and ensure all systems operate reliably and meet client expectations. Collaboration with project managers, programmers, and clients is essential to support system upgrades, provide user training, and deliver high-quality service.


Qualifications


  • Ability to work with Audio Visual (AV) systems, including setup, configuration, and integration.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving AV and control system issues.

  • Experience with video conferencing platforms and related hardware.

  • Knowledge of lighting control systems and their integration with smart home or commercial automation.

  • Hands-on experience installing and maintaining projectors and display equipment.

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts related to AV systems (e.g., IP addressing, cabling).

  • Comfort working in residential and commercial environments, including fieldwork and on-site installations.

  • Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members, and explaining technical information clearly.

  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or coursework in AV, electronics, or IT is beneficial.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally to client sites as needed.
