Role Description The Audio Visual Installation Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Saginaw, MI. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, and testing audio visual systems, including displays, projectors, lighting, speakers, and video conferencing equipment in business and residential environments. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, running and terminating cables, mounting and aligning AV hardware, and integrating systems with existing infrastructure. The technician will perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on installed systems, provide basic user training, and document installations and service work. The role also involves collaborating with project managers and other technicians to meet project timelines, maintaining a clean and safe worksite, and delivering responsive, professional customer service.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Audio Visual (AV) Systems, including system components and integration.
• Ability to effectively troubleshoot AV equipment and related technical issues.
• Experience with Video Conferencing platforms and hardware setup.
• Hands-on experience with Lighting controls and Projectors, including installation and calibration.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools; comfort working on ladders and in varied installation environments.
• Basic understanding of networking fundamentals as they relate to AV systems (IP addressing, connectivity, cabling).
• Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain systems to end users clearly.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail for documentation, inventory, and project follow-through.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to job sites.
• Prior experience in AV installation, low-voltage, or related trades preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., CTS) are a plus.
